We are a well established site servicing contractor, specializing in municipal parks, and civil commercial developments. Some of our core services include, asphalt, concrete, interlocking, excavation & grading, sewers & drainage systems, landscaping, and small bridges.
The project manager will be involved in all phases of the construction process from start to completion. Responsibilities include:
- Ensuring proper documentation is completed to start project (locates,permits,prices,etc)
- Site Layout and Elevation Surveying
- Coordinating equipment, materials, and labour forces
- Organize and attend meetings with architects, consultants, engineers and inspectors throughout the duration of project to resolve issues, progress reports, monthly invoice draws
- Explaining scope of work to Foremen and strategizing for completing work
- Measuring job site quantities, quantity takeoffs for material ordering
- Coordinate subcontractors, and supply of materials
- Checking and ensuring that all contract items are within budget
- Working laterally with the Estimator, Project Coordinator, and Contract Administrator
- Full Comprehension of blueprints, contract specifications and construction legislation
- Plan and implement construction schedules for completing projects
- Ensure that Health and Safety policies are followed Pick up miscellaneous materials and documents
- Collect and check foreman daily reports
- Check and approve payables
- Set up and dispatch drivers for bringing equipment and materials to and from job sites
- Able to coordinate many projects simultaneously
- Managing projects varying in size from 50k to over 1million
- Ultimately responsible for the successful completion of projects
This candidate will have excellent communication skills, self motivated, aggressive attitude, and is highly organized. Will possess excellent mathematical skills, excellent problem solving skills, ability to multi task, and must be able to work under pressure in a fast paced team environment. This candidate has hands on attitude, possesses good leadership skills, and has an ability to adapt to changing environments. A Civil Engineering or Landscape background is required. 5 years experience minimum.
